It then uses\nfind_next_zero_bit_le on the allocated region. find_next_zero_bit_le\naccesses the bitmap using unsigned long pointers. So, on 64-bit\narchitectures, it may access 4 bytes beyond the allocated size.\n\nFix this bug by rounding up bitset_size to BITS_PER_LONG.\n\nThis bug was found by running the lvm2 testsuite with kasan.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/0d2209b54f1de0c2f99cab246d4cf2cfe24aaaa9","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/85e123c27d5cbc22cfdc01de1e2ca1d9003a02d0","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/9a02f3275acc628c0d956be771405ced79ac36df","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ae460312875159285cef5bf3dc654593f404a1ef","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ba751f0d25f07aa21ce9b85372a3792bf7969d13"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:59:48.811064707+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-49710","score":0.00281,"percentile":0.20597,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
