And it's required to release the resource using\nfree_resource(). Howerver, many people use kfree directly which will\nresult in kernel BUG. In order to fix this without fixing every call\nsite, just leak a couple of bytes in such corner case.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-401"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/0cbcc92917c5de80f15c24d033566539ad696892","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/3379a60f6bb4afcd9c456e340ac525ae649d3ce7","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a9e88c2618d228d7a4e7e515cf30dc0d0d813f27","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ab86020070999e758ce2e60c4348f20bf7ddba56","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d7faa04a44a0c37ac3d222fa8e0bdcbfcee9c0c8"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:59:48.811064707+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-49190","score":0.00266,"percentile":0.18527,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
