Therefore there is a race window\nbetween dasd_alias_get_start_dev() and _lcu_update() which sets\npavgroup to NULL with the lcu->lock held.\n\nFix by checking the pavgroup pointer with lcu->lock held.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":["CWE-476"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2e473351400e3dd66f0b71eddcef82ee45a584c1","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/49f401a98b318761ca2e15d4c7869a20043fbed4","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/650a2e79d176db753654d3dde88e53a2033036ac","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/aaba5ff2742043705bc4c02fd0b2b246e2e16da1","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d3a67c21b18f33c79382084af556557c442f12a6"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:49:08.435428910+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-48636","score":0.00237,"percentile":0.14777,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
