In versions prior to 5.3.3 or 4.10.20, a compromised Parse Server Cloud Code Webhook target endpoint allows an attacker to use prototype pollution to bypass the Parse Server `requestKeywordDenylist` option. This issue has been patched in versions 5.3.3 and 4.10.20. There are no known workarounds.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-1321"],"references":["https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/security/advisories/GHSA-93vw-8fm5-p2jf","https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/security/advisories/GHSA-93vw-8fm5-p2jf"],"products":["parseplatform:parse-server"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:37:08.729216836+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-41879","score":0.0088,"percentile":0.59114,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-93vw-8fm5-p2jf","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-93vw-8fm5-p2jf","summary":"Parse Server is vulnerable to Prototype Pollution via Cloud Code Webhooks","modified":"2023-12-06T01:02:37.885787Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"parse-server","purl":"pkg:npm/parse-server","ranges":["<4.10.20"],"fixed":["4.10.20"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"parse-server","purl":"pkg:npm/parse-server","ranges":[">=5.0.0 <5.3.3"],"fixed":["5.3.3"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
