The issue affects only NGINX products that are built with the ngx_http_mp4_module, when the mp4 directive is used in the configuration file. Further, the attack is possible only if an attacker can trigger processing of a specially crafted audio or video file with the module ngx_http_mp4_module.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":["CWE-787"],"references":["https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2022/11/msg00031.html","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/BPRVYA4FS34VWB4FEFYNAD7Z2LFCJVEI/","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/FD6M3PVVKO35WLAA7GLDBS6TEQ26SM64/","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/WBORRVG7VVXYOAIAD64ZHES2U2VIUKFQ/","https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20230120-0005/"],"products":["debian:debian_linux","f5:nginx","f5:nginx_ingress_controller","fedoraproject:fedora"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:37:08.729216836+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-41741","score":0.00811,"percentile":0.56961,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
