Versions prior to 0.2.5 are vulnerable to authorization bypass under certain conditions. You are affected by this vulnerability if you added a tuple with a wildcard (*) assigned to a tupleset relation (the right hand side of a ‘from’ statement). This issue has been patched in version v0.2.5. This update is not backward compatible with any authorization model that uses wildcard on a tupleset relation.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-863"],"references":["https://github.com/openfga/openfga/security/advisories/GHSA-3gfj-fxx4-f22w","https://github.com/openfga/openfga/security/advisories/GHSA-3gfj-fxx4-f22w"],"products":["openfga:openfga"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:37:08.729216836+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-39352","score":0.00457,"percentile":0.39642,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-3gfj-fxx4-f22w","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-3gfj-fxx4-f22w","summary":"OpenFGA Authorization Bypass","modified":"2024-08-21T16:28:33.143646Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/openfga/openfga","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/openfga/openfga","ranges":["<0.2.5"],"fixed":["0.2.5"]}]},{"id":"GO-2022-1099","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2022-1099","summary":"OpenFGA Authorization Bypass in github.com/openfga/openfga","modified":"2026-03-03T04:52:43.948213Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/openfga/openfga","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/openfga/openfga","ranges":["<0.2.5"],"fixed":["0.2.5"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
