This then allows a malicious user to provide code that will execute when a user views the specific log on the \"view=log\" page. This vulnerability allows an attacker to store code within the logs that will be executed when loaded by a legitimate user. These actions will be performed with the permission of the victim. This could lead to data loss and/or further exploitation including account takeover. This issue has been addressed in versions `1.36.27` and `1.37.24`. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade should disable database logging.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/171498/Zoneminder-Log-Injection-XSS-Cross-Site-Request-Forgery.html","https://github.com/ZoneMinder/zoneminder/commit/c0a4c05e84eea0f6ccf7169c014efe5422c9ba0d","https://github.com/ZoneMinder/zoneminder/commit/d289eb48601a76e34feea3c1683955337b1fae59","https://github.com/ZoneMinder/zoneminder/security/advisories/GHSA-h6xp-cvwv-q433","http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/171498/Zoneminder-Log-Injection-XSS-Cross-Site-Request-Forgery.html"],"products":["zoneminder:zoneminder"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:36:05.460296998+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-39285","score":0.05123,"percentile":0.92389,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
