Versions 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 are subject to Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor. This issue allows a client of the API to retrieve more information than the client’s OAuth scope permits when making “search-type” requests. This issue would not allow a client to retrieve information about individuals other than those the client was already authorized to access. Users of fhir-works-on-aws-authz-smart 3.1.1 or 3.1.2 should upgrade to version 3.1.3 or higher immediately. Versions 3.1.0 and below are unaffected. There is no workaround for this issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-200"],"references":["https://github.com/awslabs/fhir-works-on-aws-authz-smart/security/advisories/GHSA-vv7x-7w4m-q72f","https://github.com/awslabs/fhir-works-on-aws-authz-smart/security/advisories/GHSA-vv7x-7w4m-q72f"],"products":["amazon:fhir-works-on-aws-authz-smart"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:36:05.460296998+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-39230","score":0.00742,"percentile":0.54708,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-vv7x-7w4m-q72f","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-vv7x-7w4m-q72f","summary":"fhir-works-on-aws-authz-smart handles permissions improperly","modified":"2023-11-08T04:10:15.897617Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"fhir-works-on-aws-authz-smart","purl":"pkg:npm/fhir-works-on-aws-authz-smart","ranges":[">=3.1.1 <3.1.3"],"fixed":["3.1.3"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
