{"cve":"CVE-2022-31139","nvd":{"published":"2022-07-11T19:15:07.890","modified":"2026-06-17T04:44:53.247","status":"Modified","description":"UnsafeAccessor (UA) is a bridge to access jdk.internal.misc.Unsafe & sun.misc.Unsafe. Normally, if UA is loaded as a named module, the internal data of UA is protected by JVM and others can only access UA via UA's standard API. The main application can set up `SecurityCheck.AccessLimiter` for UA to limit access to UA. Starting with version 1.4.0 and prior to version 1.7.0, when `SecurityCheck.AccessLimiter` is set up, untrusted code can access UA without limitation, even when UA is loaded as a named module. This issue does not affect those for whom `SecurityCheck.AccessLimiter` is not set up. Version 1.7.0 contains a patch.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-863","CWE-200"],"references":["https://github.com/Karlatemp/UnsafeAccessor/commit/4ef83000184e8f13239a1ea2847ee401d81585fd","https://github.com/Karlatemp/UnsafeAccessor/releases/tag/1.7.0","https://github.com/Karlatemp/UnsafeAccessor/security/advisories/GHSA-cr6p-23cf-w9g9","https://github.com/Karlatemp/UnsafeAccessor/commit/4ef83000184e8f13239a1ea2847ee401d81585fd","https://github.com/Karlatemp/UnsafeAccessor/releases/tag/1.7.0"],"products":["unsafe_accessor_project:unsafe_accessor"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:33:44.859608815+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-31139","score":0.01175,"percentile":0.67581,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-cr6p-23cf-w9g9","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-cr6p-23cf-w9g9","summary":"UnsafeAccessor 1.4.0 until 1.7.0 has no security checking for UnsafeAccess.getInstance()","modified":"2024-02-16T08:19:20.597461Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"io.github.karlatemp:unsafe-accessor","purl":"pkg:maven/io.github.karlatemp/unsafe-accessor","ranges":[">=1.4.0 <1.7.0"],"fixed":["1.7.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
