A value of 0xffffffff in the name length field will cause a zero-sized buffer to be allocated for the name, resulting in a write to a dangling pointer. This issue exists for the NBD_OPT_INFO, NBD_OPT_GO, and NBD_OPT_EXPORT_NAME messages.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-190"],"references":["https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2022/03/msg00014.html","https://lists.debian.org/nbd/2022/01/msg00037.html","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/G2UPX62BIWOOHSACGUDB7E3O4URNN37F/","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/IZHR73XMAJTCFGKUZRXVTZKCK2X3IFNA/","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/PU5JFD4PEJED72TZLZ5R2Q2SFXICU5I5/"],"products":["debian:debian_linux","fedoraproject:fedora","network_block_device_project:network_block_device"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:28:04.509275555+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-26495","score":0.02859,"percentile":0.86749,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
