Prior to version 5.9.2, a user with read-write credentials can use a malformed OID in a SET to the nsVacmAccessTable to cause a NULL pointer dereference. Version 5.9.2 contains a patch. Users should use strong SNMPv3 credentials and avoid sharing the credentials. Those who must use SNMPv1 or SNMPv2c should use a complex community string and enhance the protection by restricting access to a given IP address range.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-476"],"references":["https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2103225","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2105241","https://github.com/net-snmp/net-snmp/commit/ce66eb97c17aa9a48bc079be7b65895266fa6775","https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2022/08/msg00020.html","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/FX75KKGMO5XMV6JMQZF6KOG3JPFNQBY7/"],"products":["debian:debian_linux","fedoraproject:fedora","net-snmp:net-snmp"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:48:32.179249784+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-24810","score":0.01146,"percentile":0.66781,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
