{"cve":"CVE-2022-24751","nvd":{"published":"2022-03-16T14:15:08.487","modified":"2026-06-17T04:32:26.247","status":"Modified","description":"Zulip is an open source group chat application. Starting with version 4.0 and prior to version 4.11, Zulip is vulnerable to a race condition during account deactivation, where a simultaneous access by the user being deactivated may, in rare cases, allow continued access by the deactivated user. A patch is available in version 4.11 on the 4.x branch and version 5.0-rc1 on the 5.x branch. Upgrading to a fixed version will, as a side effect, deactivate any cached sessions that may have been leaked through this bug. There are currently no known workarounds.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":7.4},"cwes":["CWE-362"],"references":["https://github.com/zulip/zulip/commit/62ba8e455d8f460001d9fb486a6dabfd1ed67717","https://github.com/zulip/zulip/commit/e6eace307ef435eec3395c99247155efed9219e4","https://github.com/zulip/zulip/security/advisories/GHSA-6v98-m5x5-phqj","https://github.com/zulip/zulip/commit/62ba8e455d8f460001d9fb486a6dabfd1ed67717","https://github.com/zulip/zulip/commit/e6eace307ef435eec3395c99247155efed9219e4"],"products":["zulip:zulip"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:29:06.454770966+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-24751","score":0.00955,"percentile":0.614,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
