As Google Play services SDK is so widely used, this bug affects many applications. For an application affected, this bug will let the attacker, gain the access to all non-exported providers and/or gain the access to other providers the victim has permissions. We recommend upgrading to version 18.0.2 of the Play Service SDK as well as rebuilding and redeploying apps.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":8.4},"cwes":["CWE-471"],"references":["https://developers.google.com/android/guides/releases#may_03_2022","https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/com.google.android.gms/play-services-basement/18.0.2","https://developers.google.com/android/guides/releases#may_03_2022","https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/com.google.android.gms/play-services-basement/18.0.2"],"products":["google:google_play_services_software_development_kit"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:34:18.502168378+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-2390","score":0.0011,"percentile":0.01246,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-cm6r-892j-jv2g","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-cm6r-892j-jv2g","summary":"Google Play Services SDK leads to apps having incorrectly set mutability flag","modified":"2023-11-08T04:08:28.014834Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"com.google.android.gms:play-services-basement","purl":"pkg:maven/com.google.android.gms/play-services-basement","ranges":["<18.0.2"],"fixed":["18.0.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
