An attacker at L2 with code execution can execute code on an indirect branch on the host machine. We recommend upgrading to Kernel 6.2 or applying the relevant stable backports (v5.4.233, v5.10.170, v5.15.96, v6.1.14).","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-1188"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?id=1b0cafaae8884726c597caded50af185ffc13349","https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?id=63fada296062e91ad9f871970d4e7f19e21a6a15","https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?id=6b539a7dbb49250f92515c2ba60aea239efc9e35","https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?id=f93a1a5bdcdd122aae0a3eab7a52c15b71fb725b","https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=2e7eab81425ad6c875f2ed47c0ce01e78afc38a5"],"products":["debian:debian_linux","linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:37:34.931465858+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-2196","score":0.00354,"percentile":0.29148,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
