In versions 2.11.1 and prior, parsing an incoming SIP message that contains a malformed multipart can potentially cause out-of-bound read access. This issue affects all PJSIP users that accept SIP multipart. The patch is available as commit in the `master` branch. There are no known workarounds.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H","score":9.1},"cwes":["CWE-125"],"references":["http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/166227/Asterisk-Project-Security-Advisory-AST-2022-006.html","http://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2022/Mar/2","https://github.com/pjsip/pjproject/commit/077b465c33f0aec05a49cd2ca456f9a1b112e896","https://github.com/pjsip/pjproject/security/advisories/GHSA-7fw8-54cv-r7pm","https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2022/03/msg00035.html"],"products":["asterisk:certified_asterisk","debian:debian_linux","sangoma:asterisk","teluu:pjsip"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:27:20.926095847+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-21723","score":0.04357,"percentile":0.9124,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
