Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to JavaScript object injection which may result in cross site scripting when leveraged by a malicious user. The affected core relates to JavaScript object creation when parsing json input. Releases before version 21.12.22.1 are affected. A workaround exists that replaces one of the core JavaScript files embedded in the library. See the GHSA-5q7q-qqw2-hjq7 for workaround details.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-502","CWE-79"],"references":["https://github.com/michaelschwarz/Ajax.NET-Professional/commit/c89e39b9679fcb8ab6644fe21cc7e652cb615e2b","https://github.com/michaelschwarz/Ajax.NET-Professional/releases/tag/v21.12.22.1","https://github.com/michaelschwarz/Ajax.NET-Professional/security/advisories/GHSA-5q7q-qqw2-hjq7","https://github.com/michaelschwarz/Ajax.NET-Professional/commit/c89e39b9679fcb8ab6644fe21cc7e652cb615e2b","https://github.com/michaelschwarz/Ajax.NET-Professional/releases/tag/v21.12.22.1"],"products":["ajax.net_professional_project:ajax.net_professional"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:26:33.761856376+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2021-43853","score":0.00851,"percentile":0.58217,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
