There is a prototype pollution vulnerability in aurelia-path before version 1.1.7. The vulnerability exposes Aurelia application that uses `aurelia-path` package to parse a string. The majority of this will be Aurelia applications that employ the `aurelia-router` package. An example is this could allow an attacker to change the prototype of base object class `Object` by tricking an application to parse the following URL: `https://aurelia.io/blog/?__proto__[asdf]=asdf`. The problem is patched in version `1.1.7`.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-1321"],"references":["https://github.com/aurelia/path/commit/7c4e235433a4a2df9acc313fbe891758084fdec1","https://github.com/aurelia/path/issues/44","https://github.com/aurelia/path/releases/tag/1.1.7","https://github.com/aurelia/path/security/advisories/GHSA-3c9c-2p65-qvwv","https://www.npmjs.com/package/aurelia-path"],"products":["bluespire:aurelia-path"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:23:41.316049955+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2021-41097","score":0.04895,"percentile":0.92087,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-3c9c-2p65-qvwv","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-3c9c-2p65-qvwv","summary":"Prototype pollution in aurelia-path","modified":"2026-07-08T06:28:36.483035824Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"aurelia-path","purl":"pkg:npm/aurelia-path","ranges":["<1.1.7"],"fixed":["1.1.7"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
