An error in the implementation of the limits service between versions 4.0.0 and 4.9.4 allows all authenticated users (including contributors) to view admin-level API keys via the integrations API endpoint, leading to a privilege escalation vulnerability. This issue is patched in Ghost version 4.10.0. As a workaround, disable all non-Administrator accounts to prevent API access. It is highly recommended to regenerate all API keys after patching or applying the workaround.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.2},"cwes":["CWE-269","CWE-200"],"references":["https://github.com/TryGhost/Ghost/releases/tag/v4.10.0","https://github.com/TryGhost/Ghost/security/advisories/GHSA-j5c2-hm46-wp5c","https://github.com/TryGhost/Ghost/releases/tag/v4.10.0","https://github.com/TryGhost/Ghost/security/advisories/GHSA-j5c2-hm46-wp5c"],"products":["ghost:ghost"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:21:57.125947417+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2021-39192","score":0.01019,"percentile":0.63371,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-j5c2-hm46-wp5c","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-j5c2-hm46-wp5c","summary":"Privilege escalation: all users can access Admin-level API keys","modified":"2026-07-08T06:29:28.174243385Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"ghost","purl":"pkg:npm/ghost","ranges":[">=4.0.0 <4.10.0"],"fixed":["4.10.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
