Missing input validation in radsecproxy's `naptr-eduroam.sh` and `radsec-dynsrv.sh` scripts can lead to configuration injection via crafted radsec peer discovery DNS records. Users are subject to Information disclosure, Denial of Service, Redirection of Radius connection to a non-authenticated server leading to non-authenticated network access. Updated example scripts are available in the master branch and 1.9 release. Note that the scripts are not part of the installation package and are not updated automatically. If you are using the examples, you have to update them manually. The dyndisc scripts work independently of the radsecproxy code. The updated scripts can be used with any version of radsecproxy.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:H/A:H","score":9.4},"cwes":["CWE-74","CWE-20"],"references":["https://github.com/radsecproxy/radsecproxy/security/advisories/GHSA-56gw-9rj9-55rc","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/HOC5AFG65NYLMMUTNSBOPC5F4LBAC7BR/","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/W7QK5M2SZVMCAFSRQMM6PRZZRQQ372XI/","https://www.usenix.org/conference/usenixsecurity21/presentation/jeitner","https://github.com/radsecproxy/radsecproxy/security/advisories/GHSA-56gw-9rj9-55rc"],"products":["fedoraproject:fedora","uninett:radsecproxy"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:18:09.669877188+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2021-32642","score":0.01342,"percentile":0.71349,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
