{"cve":"CVE-2021-32033","nvd":{"published":"2021-06-16T12:15:12.693","modified":"2026-06-17T03:52:42.610","status":"Modified","description":"Protectimus SLIM NFC 70 10.01 devices allow a Time Traveler attack in which attackers can predict TOTP passwords in certain situations. The time value used by the device can be set independently from the used seed value for generating time-based one-time passwords, without authentication. Thus, an attacker with short-time physical access to a device can set the internal real-time clock (RTC) to the future, generate one-time passwords, and reset the clock to the current time. This allows the generation of valid future time-based one-time passwords without having further access to the hardware token.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:P/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":4.6},"cwes":["CWE-335"],"references":["http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/163223/Protectimus-SLIM-NFC-Time-Manipulation.html","http://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2021/Jun/39","https://www.syss.de/fileadmin/dokumente/Publikationen/Advisories/SYSS-2021-007.txt","http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/163223/Protectimus-SLIM-NFC-Time-Manipulation.html","http://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2021/Jun/39"],"products":["protectimus:slim_nfc_70_firmware"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:20:07.141963181+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2021-32033","score":0.00522,"percentile":0.44319,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
