An integer overflow bug in Redis version 6.0 or newer could be exploited using the `STRALGO LCS` command to corrupt the heap and potentially result with remote code execution. The problem is fixed in version 6.2.3 and 6.0.13. An additional workaround to mitigate the problem without patching the redis-server executable is to use ACL configuration to prevent clients from using the `STRALGO LCS` command.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-190"],"references":["https://github.com/redis/redis/security/advisories/GHSA-vqxj-26vj-996g","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/BHWOF7CBVUGDK3AN6H3BN3VNTH2TDUZZ/","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/BPWBIZXA67JFIB63W2CNVVILCGIC2ME5/","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/EZJ6JGQ2ETZB2DWTQSGCOGG7EF3ILV4V/","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/SN7INTZFE34MIQJO7WDDTIY5LIBGN6GI/"],"products":["fedoraproject:fedora","redislabs:redis"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:18:09.669877188+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2021-29477","score":0.03997,"percentile":0.90526,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
