A vulnerability in trestle-auth versions 0.4.0 and 0.4.1 allows an attacker to create a form that will bypass Rails' built-in CSRF protection when submitted by a victim with a trestle-auth admin session. This potentially allows an attacker to alter protected data, including admin account credentials. The vulnerability has been fixed in trestle-auth 0.4.2 released to RubyGems.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-352"],"references":["https://github.com/TrestleAdmin/trestle-auth/commit/cb95b05cdb2609052207af07b4b8dfe3a23c11dc","https://github.com/TrestleAdmin/trestle-auth/security/advisories/GHSA-h8hx-2c5r-32cf","https://rubygems.org/gems/trestle-auth","https://github.com/TrestleAdmin/trestle-auth/commit/cb95b05cdb2609052207af07b4b8dfe3a23c11dc","https://github.com/TrestleAdmin/trestle-auth/security/advisories/GHSA-h8hx-2c5r-32cf"],"products":["trestle-auth_project:trestle-auth"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:17:01.373894544+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2021-29435","score":0.00663,"percentile":0.51699,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-h8hx-2c5r-32cf","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-h8hx-2c5r-32cf","summary":"Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) in trestle-auth","modified":"2026-07-08T06:29:41.235308895Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"RubyGems","name":"trestle-auth","purl":"pkg:gem/trestle-auth","ranges":[">=0.4.0 <0.4.2"],"fixed":["0.4.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
