This both caused issues with desktop integration and could allow a crafted attack on files owned by that user or group if they exist. Users who installed the Apache OpenOffice 4.1.8 DEB packaging should upgrade to the latest version of Apache OpenOffice.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":["CWE-284"],"references":["http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2021/10/07/5","https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r9e72234dd662280fa1a3cca6164d3470a1dbc0d8e53e48ba27f787ce%40%3Cannounce.apache.org%3E","https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/rc9090ab48b4699494b63b35cd6d7414c52d665ecae12add3cdc56c9b%40%3Cusers.openoffice.apache.org%3E","https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/rc9090ab48b4699494b63b35cd6d7414c52d665ecae12add3cdc56c9b%40%3Cusers.openoffice.apache.org%3E","https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/rc9090ab48b4699494b63b35cd6d7414c52d665ecae12add3cdc56c9b%40%3Cusers.openoffice.apache.org%3E"],"products":["apache:openoffice"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:23:41.316049955+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2021-28129","score":0.00534,"percentile":0.45098,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
