{"cve":"CVE-2021-26715","nvd":{"published":"2021-03-25T09:15:12.633","modified":"2026-06-17T03:43:42.710","status":"Modified","description":"The OpenID Connect server implementation for MITREid Connect through 1.3.3 contains a Server Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability. The vulnerability arises due to unsafe usage of the logo_uri parameter in the Dynamic Client Registration request. An unauthenticated attacker can make a HTTP request from the vulnerable server to any address in the internal network and obtain its response (which might, for example, have a JavaScript payload for resultant XSS). The issue can be exploited to bypass network boundaries, obtain sensitive data, or attack other hosts in the internal network.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":9.1},"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/mitreid-connect/OpenID-Connect-Java-Spring-Server/releases","https://portswigger.net/research/hidden-oauth-attack-vectors","https://github.com/mitreid-connect/OpenID-Connect-Java-Spring-Server/releases","https://portswigger.net/research/hidden-oauth-attack-vectors"],"products":["mitreid:connect"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:15:50.279857260+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2021-26715","score":0.01494,"percentile":0.74158,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-792r-mh2q-p8qp","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-792r-mh2q-p8qp","summary":"Server Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in org.mitre:openid-connect-server","modified":"2023-11-08T04:05:22.219976Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.mitre:openid-connect-server","purl":"pkg:maven/org.mitre/openid-connect-server","ranges":["<=1.3.3"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
