In Dynamoose from version 2.0.0 and before version 2.7.0 there was a prototype pollution vulnerability in the internal utility method \"lib/utils/object/set.ts\". This method is used throughout the codebase for various operations throughout Dynamoose. We have not seen any evidence of this vulnerability being exploited. There is no evidence this vulnerability impacts versions 1.x.x since the vulnerable method was added as part of the v2 rewrite. This vulnerability also impacts v2.x.x beta/alpha versions. Version 2.7.0 includes a patch for this vulnerability.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-1321","CWE-915"],"references":["https://github.com/dynamoose/dynamoose/commit/324c62b4709204955931a187362f8999805b1d8e","https://github.com/dynamoose/dynamoose/releases/tag/v2.7.0","https://github.com/dynamoose/dynamoose/security/advisories/GHSA-rrqm-p222-8ph2","https://www.npmjs.com/package/dynamoose","https://github.com/dynamoose/dynamoose/commit/324c62b4709204955931a187362f8999805b1d8e"],"products":["dynamoosejs:dynamoose"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:14:10.479542811+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2021-21304","score":0.01894,"percentile":0.79612,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-rrqm-p222-8ph2","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-rrqm-p222-8ph2","summary":"Prototype Pollution in Dynamoose","modified":"2026-09-10T03:48:25.799290808Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"dynamoose","purl":"pkg:npm/dynamoose","ranges":[">=2.0.0 <2.7.0"],"fixed":["2.7.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
