This vulnerability is due to a lack of protection against brute forcing of the host key. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted requests to a vulnerable Cisco Webex Meetings or Webex Meetings Server site. A successful exploit would require the attacker to have access to join a Webex meeting, including applicable meeting join links and passwords. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to acquire or take over the host role for a meeting.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:L","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-307"],"references":["https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-webex-brutef-hostkey-FWRMxVF","https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-webex-brutef-hostkey-FWRMxVF"],"products":["cisco:webex_meetings","cisco:webex_meetings_server"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:14:10.479542811+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2021-1311","score":0.01279,"percentile":0.70007,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
