A attacker is able to retrieve user attribute data from the connected LDAP server by providing special values to the login form. With certain characters it is possible to modify the LDAP filter used to query the LDAP users. By measuring the response time for the login request, arbitrary attribute data can be retrieved from LDAP user objects.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-74"],"references":["http://archiva.apache.org/security.html#CVE-2020-9495","http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2020/06/19/1","https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r576eaabe3f772c045ec832a0200252494a2ce3f188f59450dd8f9b6d%40%3Cannounce.apache.org%3E","https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r576eaabe3f772c045ec832a0200252494a2ce3f188f59450dd8f9b6d%40%3Cdev.archiva.apache.org%3E","https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r576eaabe3f772c045ec832a0200252494a2ce3f188f59450dd8f9b6d%40%3Cusers.archiva.apache.org%3E"],"products":["apache:archiva"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:05:42.039641217+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2020-9495","score":0.08004,"percentile":0.94764,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-v83p-xwm9-v4g8","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-v83p-xwm9-v4g8","summary":"Injection in Apache Archiva","modified":"2023-11-08T04:04:21.294428Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.apache.archiva:archiva","purl":"pkg:maven/org.apache.archiva/archiva","ranges":["<2.2.5"],"fixed":["2.2.5"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
