An attacker can use a specially crafted webpage to force a rendertron headless chrome process to render internal sites it has access to, and display it as a screenshot. Suggested mitigations are to upgrade your rendertron to version 3.0.0, or, if you cannot update, to secure the infrastructure to limit the headless chrome's access to your internal domain.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":4.3},"cwes":["CWE-918","CWE-284"],"references":["https://github.com/GoogleChrome/rendertron/releases/tag/3.0.0","https://github.com/GoogleChrome/rendertron/releases/tag/3.0.0"],"products":["google:rendertron"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:15:50.279857260+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2020-8902","score":0.00325,"percentile":0.25545,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-xr9h-9m79-x29g","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-xr9h-9m79-x29g","summary":"SSRF in Rendertron","modified":"2023-11-08T04:04:19.095906Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"rendertron","purl":"pkg:npm/rendertron","ranges":["<3.0.0"],"fixed":["3.0.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
