Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. In general, these flaws cannot be exploited through email in the Thunderbird product because scripting is disabled when reading mail, but are potentially risks in browser or browser-like contexts. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 68.5, Firefox < 73, and Firefox < ESR68.5.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-787"],"references":["https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?bug_id=1595786%2C1596706%2C1598543%2C1604851%2C1608580%2C1608785%2C1605777","https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/202003-02","https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/202003-10","https://usn.ubuntu.com/4278-2/","https://usn.ubuntu.com/4328-1/"],"products":["canonical:ubuntu_linux","mozilla:firefox","mozilla:firefox_esr","mozilla:thunderbird"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:02:53.949909883+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2020-6800","score":0.02263,"percentile":0.83,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
