Apps using \"contextIsolation\" are affected. There are no app-side workarounds, you must update your Electron version to be protected. This is fixed in versions 6.1.1, 7.2.4, 8.2.4, and 9.0.0-beta21.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:C/C:N/I:H/A:N","score":6.8},"cwes":["CWE-501"],"references":["https://github.com/electron/electron/security/advisories/GHSA-6vrv-94jv-crrg","https://www.electronjs.org/releases/stable?page=3#release-notes-for-v824","https://github.com/electron/electron/security/advisories/GHSA-6vrv-94jv-crrg","https://www.electronjs.org/releases/stable?page=3#release-notes-for-v824"],"products":["electronjs:electron"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:06:22.076270124+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2020-15096","score":0.0081,"percentile":0.56934,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-6vrv-94jv-crrg","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-6vrv-94jv-crrg","summary":"Context isolation bypass via Promise in Electron","modified":"2026-07-08T06:28:15.160310378Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"electron","purl":"pkg:npm/electron","ranges":["<6.1.11"],"fixed":["6.1.11"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"electron","purl":"pkg:npm/electron","ranges":[">=7.0.0 <7.2.4"],"fixed":["7.2.4"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"electron","purl":"pkg:npm/electron","ranges":[">=8.0.0 <8.2.4"],"fixed":["8.2.4"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
