A directory traversal vulnerability was found where it failed to sanitize paths in remote repository metadata. An attacker controlling a remote repository may be able to copy files outside of the destination directory on the targeted system via path traversal. This flaw could potentially result in system compromise via the overwriting of critical system files. The highest threat from this flaw is to users that make use of untrusted third-party repositories.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.0},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2020-08/msg00072.html","http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2020-09/msg00055.html","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1866498","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/33RX4P5R5YL4NZSFSE4NOX37X6YCXAS4/","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/OOMDEQBRJ7SO2QWL7H23G3VV2VSCUYOY/"],"products":["fedoraproject:fedora","opensuse:backports_sle","opensuse:leap","redhat:librepo"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:09:20.498348299+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2020-14352","score":0.02526,"percentile":0.84881,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
