{"cve":"CVE-2019-8389","nvd":{"published":"2019-02-17T03:29:00.193","modified":"2026-06-17T02:41:56.133","status":"Modified","description":"A file-read vulnerability was identified in the Wi-Fi transfer feature of Musicloud 1.6. By default, the application runs a transfer service on port 8080, accessible by everyone on the same Wi-Fi network. An attacker can send the POST parameters downfiles and cur-folder (with a crafted ../ payload) to the download.script endpoint. This will create a MusicPlayerArchive.zip archive that is publicly accessible and includes the content of any requested file (such as the /etc/passwd file).","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:A/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":8.1},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["https://gist.github.com/shawarkhanethicalhacker/b98c5ac7491cf77732c793ecc468f465","https://gist.github.com/shawarkhanethicalhacker/b98c5ac7491cf77732c793ecc468f465"],"products":["musicloud_project:musicloud"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:54:46.948512734+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2019-8389","score":0.01459,"percentile":0.73549,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
