An attacker can send a specially crafted packet to trigger the parsing of this cache file. The destination buffer sp+0x440 is overflowed with the call to sprintf() for any hostname values that are greater than 1024-len(‘/etc/config-tools/change_hostname hostname=‘) in length. A hostname value of length 0x3fd will cause the service to crash.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":["CWE-787"],"references":["https://talosintelligence.com/vulnerability_reports/TALOS-2019-0963","https://talosintelligence.com/vulnerability_reports/TALOS-2019-0963"],"products":["wago:pfc200_firmware"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:02:53.949909883+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2019-5178","score":0.00656,"percentile":0.51434,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
