It could occur if one end sends packets faster than the other end can process them. A guest user, maybe remote one, could use this flaw to stall the vhost_net kernel thread, resulting in a DoS scenario.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.7},"cwes":["CWE-835"],"references":["http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/155212/Slackware-Security-Advisory-Slackware-14.2-kernel-Updates.html","http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/108076","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1973","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:2029","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:2043"],"products":["canonical:ubuntu_linux","debian:debian_linux","fedoraproject:fedora","linux:linux_kernel","netapp:active_iq_unified_manager_for_vmware_vsphere","netapp:cn1610_firmware","netapp:hci_management_node","netapp:snapprotect","netapp:solidfire","netapp:storage_replication_adapter_for_clustered_data_ontap_for_vmware_vsphere","netapp:vasa_provider_for_clustered_data_ontap","netapp:virtual_storage_console_for_vmware_vsphere","oracle:sd-wan_edge","redhat:enterprise_linux"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:56:19.218283075+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2019-3900","score":0.04345,"percentile":0.9122,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
