An attacker could cause new amphorae to run based on any arbitrary image. This meant that a remote attacker could upload a new amphorae image and, if requested to spawn new amphorae, Octavia would then pick up the compromised image.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.0},"cwes":["CWE-284"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1683","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1742","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=CVE-2019-3895","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1683","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1742"],"products":["openstack:octavia","redhat:openstack"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:57:00.690689396+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2019-3895","score":0.01611,"percentile":0.75954,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-jjgh-m322-fjx6","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-jjgh-m322-fjx6","summary":"Openstack Octavia Access Control Vulnerability","modified":"2024-10-08T13:05:28.263412Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"octavia","purl":"pkg:pypi/octavia","ranges":["<0.9.0"],"fixed":["0.9.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2019-194","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2019-194","summary":"","modified":"2026-06-10T17:02:27.196201375Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"octavia","purl":"pkg:pypi/octavia","ranges":["<0.9.0"],"fixed":["0.9.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
