In that, L1 guest could access L0's APIC register values via L2 guest, when 'virtualize x2APIC mode' is enabled. A guest could use this flaw to potentially crash the host kernel resulting in DoS issue. Kernel versions from 4.16 and newer are vulnerable to this issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.6},"cwes":["CWE-863"],"references":["http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/107850","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:2703","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:2741","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=CVE-2019-3887","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/IWPOIII2L73HV5PGXSGMRMKQIK47UIYE/"],"products":["canonical:ubuntu_linux","fedoraproject:fedora","linux:linux_kernel","redhat:enterprise_linux","redhat:enterprise_linux_eus","redhat:enterprise_linux_for_real_time","redhat:enterprise_linux_for_real_time_for_nfv","redhat:enterprise_linux_for_real_time_for_nfv_tus","redhat:enterprise_linux_for_real_time_tus","redhat:enterprise_linux_server_aus","redhat:enterprise_linux_server_tus"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:55:22.313337056+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2019-3887","score":0.00358,"percentile":0.29574,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
