{"cve":"CVE-2019-18282","nvd":{"published":"2020-01-16T16:15:16.950","modified":"2026-06-17T02:24:45.160","status":"Modified","description":"The flow_dissector feature in the Linux kernel 4.3 through 5.x before 5.3.10 has a device tracking vulnerability, aka CID-55667441c84f. This occurs because the auto flowlabel of a UDP IPv6 packet relies on a 32-bit hashrnd value as a secret, and because jhash (instead of siphash) is used. The hashrnd value remains the same starting from boot time, and can be inferred by an attacker. This affects net/core/flow_dissector.c and related code.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-330"],"references":["https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/ChangeLog-5.3.10","https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?id=55667441c84fa5e0911a0aac44fb059c15ba6da2","https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2020/03/msg00001.html","https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20200204-0002/","https://www.computer.org/csdl/proceedings-article/sp/2020/349700b594/1j2LgrHDR2o"],"products":["debian:debian_linux","linux:linux_kernel","netapp:8300_firmware","netapp:8700_firmware","netapp:a400_firmware","netapp:a700s_firmware","netapp:active_iq_unified_manager","netapp:cloud_backup","netapp:data_availability_services","netapp:e-series_santricity_os_controller","netapp:h610s_firmware","netapp:hci_management_node","netapp:solidfire","netapp:steelstore_cloud_integrated_storage"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:01:01.339895972+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2019-18282","score":0.02917,"percentile":0.87021,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
