The vulnerability is due to improper validation of user-supplied input. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending malicious HTTP POST requests to the web-based management interface of an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying Linux shell as root. Cisco has released firmware updates that address this vulnerability.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.2},"cwes":["CWE-78","CWE-20"],"references":["http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/152262/Cisco-RV320-Command-Injection.html","http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/152305/Cisco-RV320-RV325-Unauthenticated-Remote-Code-Execution.html","http://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2019/Mar/61","http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/106728","https://seclists.org/bugtraq/2019/Mar/55"],"products":["cisco:rv320_firmware","cisco:rv325_firmware"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:54:46.948512734+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2019-1652","score":0.95923,"percentile":0.99874,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":{"cve":"CVE-2019-1652","date_added":"2022-03-03","due_date":"2022-03-17","vendor":"Cisco","product":"Small Business RV320 and RV325 Dual Gigabit WAN VPN Routers","known_ransomware":false},"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
