An authenticated user with the Pages privilege can conduct a path traversal attack (../) to include .html files that are outside the permitted directory. Also, if a page contains a template directive, then the directive will be server side processed. Thus, if a user can control the content of a .html file, then they can inject a payload with a malicious template directive to gain Remote Command Execution. The exploit will work only with the .html extension.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.0","vector":"CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/154340/Totaljs-CMS-12.0-Path-Traversal.html","http://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2019/Sep/11","https://github.com/beerpwn/CVE/blob/master/Totaljs_disclosure_report/report_final.pdf","https://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2019/Sep/2","http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/154340/Totaljs-CMS-12.0-Path-Traversal.html"],"products":["totaljs:total.js_cms"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:58:39.700375520+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2019-15952","score":0.05119,"percentile":0.92387,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-pwvp-h579-hfxg","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-pwvp-h579-hfxg","summary":"Total.js CMS Path Traversal","modified":"2023-11-08T04:01:15.492943Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"total4","purl":"pkg:npm/total4","ranges":["12.0"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
