A DHCP Request is sent to the router with a certain Transaction ID field. Following the DHCP protocol, the router responds with an ACK or NAK message. Studying the NAK case revealed that the router erroneously sends the NAK to both Host and Guest networks with the same Transaction ID as found in the DHCP Request. This allows encoding of data to be sent cross-router into the 32-bit Transaction ID field.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.0","vector":"CVSS:3.0/AV:A/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-669"],"references":["https://orenlab.sise.bgu.ac.il/publications/CrossRouter","https://www.usenix.org/system/files/woot19-paper_ovadia.pdf","https://orenlab.sise.bgu.ac.il/publications/CrossRouter","https://www.usenix.org/system/files/woot19-paper_ovadia.pdf"],"products":["tp-link:archer_c2_v1_firmware","tp-link:archer_c3200_v1_firmware"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:58:39.700375520+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2019-13266","score":0.00973,"percentile":0.6203,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
