An unauthenticated attacker can craft the ___cfduid cookie value with base64 arbitrary code to be executed via eval(), which can be leveraged to execute arbitrary code on the target system. Note that there are three underscore characters in the cookie name. This is unrelated to the __cfduid cookie that is legitimately used by Cloudflare.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.0","vector":"CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-94"],"references":["http://dgb.github.io/2019/04/05/bootstrap-sass-backdoor.html","https://github.com/twbs/bootstrap-sass/issues/1195","https://snyk.io/blog/malicious-remote-code-execution-backdoor-discovered-in-the-popular-bootstrap-sass-ruby-gem/","https://snyk.io/vuln/SNYK-RUBY-BOOTSTRAPSASS-174093","http://dgb.github.io/2019/04/05/bootstrap-sass-backdoor.html"],"products":["getbootstrap:bootstrap-sass"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:55:22.313337056+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2019-10842","score":0.04923,"percentile":0.92124,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-vqqv-v9m2-48p2","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-vqqv-v9m2-48p2","summary":"Bootstrap-sass contains code execution backdoor","modified":"2026-03-13T22:11:39.169541Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"RubyGems","name":"bootstrap-sass","purl":"pkg:gem/bootstrap-sass","ranges":[">=3.2.0.3 <3.2.0.4"],"fixed":["3.2.0.4"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
