ZooKeeper’s getACL() command doesn’t check any permission when retrieves the ACLs of the requested node and returns all information contained in the ACL Id field as plaintext string. DigestAuthenticationProvider overloads the Id field with the hash value that is used for user authentication. As a consequence, if Digest Authentication is in use, the unsalted hash value will be disclosed by getACL() request for unauthenticated or unprivileged users.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":5.9},"cwes":["CWE-862"],"references":["http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/108427","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:3140","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:3892","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:4352","https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ZOOKEEPER-1392"],"products":["apache:activemq","apache:drill","apache:zookeeper","debian:debian_linux","netapp:element_software","netapp:hci_bootstrap_os","oracle:goldengate_stream_analytics","oracle:siebel_core_-_server_framework","oracle:timesten_in-memory_database","redhat:fuse"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:56:19.218283075+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2019-0201","score":0.09712,"percentile":0.95513,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-2hw2-62cp-p9p7","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-2hw2-62cp-p9p7","summary":"Access control bypass in Apache ZooKeeper","modified":"2024-03-14T05:19:59.559879Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.apache.zookeeper:zookeeper","purl":"pkg:maven/org.apache.zookeeper/zookeeper","ranges":[">=1.0.0 <3.4.14"],"fixed":["3.4.14"]},{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.apache.zookeeper:zookeeper","purl":"pkg:maven/org.apache.zookeeper/zookeeper","ranges":[">=3.5.0 <3.5.5"],"fixed":["3.5.5"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
