{"cve":"CVE-2018-11759","nvd":{"published":"2018-10-31T20:29:00.293","modified":"2026-06-17T01:36:31.573","status":"Modified","description":"The Apache Web Server (httpd) specific code that normalised the requested path before matching it to the URI-worker map in Apache Tomcat JK (mod_jk) Connector 1.2.0 to 1.2.44 did not handle some edge cases correctly. If only a sub-set of the URLs supported by Tomcat were exposed via httpd, then it was possible for a specially constructed request to expose application functionality through the reverse proxy that was not intended for clients accessing the application via the reverse proxy. It was also possible in some configurations for a specially constructed request to bypass the access controls configured in httpd. While there is some overlap between this issue and CVE-2018-1323, they are not identical.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.0","vector":"CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/105888","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:0366","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:0367","https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/277d42b48b6e9aef50949c0dcc79ce21693091d73da246b3c1981925%40%3Cdev.tomcat.apache.org%3E","https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/5b7a23e245c93235c503900da854a143596d901bf1a1f67e851a5de4%40%3Cdev.tomcat.apache.org%3E"],"products":["apache:tomcat_jk_connector","debian:debian_linux","redhat:jboss_core_services"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:53:59.789560037+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2018-11759","score":0.90647,"percentile":0.99803,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
