The 'copy_from' feature in the Image Service API v1 allowed an attacker to perform masked network port scans. With v1, it is possible to create images with a URL such as 'http://localhost:22'. This could then allow an attacker to enumerate internal network details while appearing masked, since the scan would appear to originate from the Glance Image service.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":5.8},"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/96988","https://bugs.launchpad.net/ossn/+bug/1153614","https://bugs.launchpad.net/ossn/+bug/1606495","https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/OSSN/OSSN-0078","http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/96988"],"products":["openstack:glance"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:42:09.859288039+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2017-7200","score":0.02057,"percentile":0.81302,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-j6mr-cm6x-h6jg","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-j6mr-cm6x-h6jg","summary":"OpenStack Glance Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)","modified":"2026-07-07T11:56:39.758326322Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"glance","purl":"pkg:pypi/glance","ranges":["<11.0.0a0"],"fixed":["11.0.0a0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-814","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-814","summary":"OpenStack Glance Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)","modified":"2026-07-07T11:45:46.379783806Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"glance","purl":"pkg:pypi/glance","ranges":["<11.0.0a0"],"fixed":["11.0.0a0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
