Using custom domains, it is possible to arrange things so that example.com/pkg1 points to a Subversion repository but example.com/pkg1/pkg2 points to a Git repository. If the Subversion repository includes a Git checkout in its pkg2 directory and some other work is done to ensure the proper ordering of operations, \"go get\" can be tricked into reusing this Git checkout for the fetch of code from pkg2. If the Subversion repository's Git checkout has malicious commands in .git/hooks/, they will execute on the system running \"go get.\"","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":[],"references":["http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/101196","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2017:3463","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:0878","https://github.com/golang/go/issues/22125","https://golang.org/cl/68022"],"products":["debian:debian_linux","golang:go","redhat:developer_tools","redhat:enterprise_linux_eus","redhat:enterprise_linux_server","redhat:enterprise_linux_server_aus","redhat:enterprise_linux_tus"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:46:01.145313090+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2017-15041","score":0.09301,"percentile":0.95371,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GO-2022-0177","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2022-0177","summary":"Remote command execution via \"go get\" in cmd/go","modified":"2024-05-20T16:03:47Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"toolchain","purl":"pkg:golang/toolchain","ranges":["<1.8.4",">=1.9.0-0 <1.9.1"],"fixed":["1.8.4","1.9.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
