This allowed reading arbitrary files on the Jenkins master file system. Such a type coercion is now subject to sandbox protection and considered to be a call to the `new File(String)` constructor for the purpose of in-process script approval.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.0","vector":"CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-200"],"references":["https://jenkins.io/security/advisory/2017-12-11/","https://jenkins.io/security/advisory/2017-12-11/"],"products":["jenkins:script_security"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:48:34.567387330+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2017-1000505","score":0.00994,"percentile":0.62639,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-r9jf-hf9x-7hrv","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-r9jf-hf9x-7hrv","summary":"Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor Jenkins Script Security Plugin","modified":"2024-02-20T05:16:36.542050Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.jenkins-ci.plugins:script-security","purl":"pkg:maven/org.jenkins-ci.plugins/script-security","ranges":["<1.37"],"fixed":["1.37"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
