It did not properly check the current user's authentication and authorization when configuring existing GitHub organization folders. This allowed users with read access to the GitHub organization folder to reconfigure it, including changing the GitHub API endpoint for the organization folder to an attacker-controlled server to obtain the GitHub access token, if the organization folder was initially created using Blue Ocean.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.0","vector":"CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","score":4.3},"cwes":["CWE-287"],"references":["https://jenkins.io/security/advisory/2017-08-07/","https://jenkins.io/security/advisory/2017-08-07/"],"products":["jenkins:blue_ocean"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:46:01.145313090+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2017-1000110","score":0.00717,"percentile":0.53842,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-rm5m-9mx4-g5r7","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-rm5m-9mx4-g5r7","summary":"Improper Authentication in Jenkins Blue Ocean Plugin","modified":"2024-02-16T08:17:07.180971Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"io.jenkins.blueocean:blueocean","purl":"pkg:maven/io.jenkins.blueocean/blueocean","ranges":["<1.2.0"],"fixed":["1.2.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
