Script code can be provided as parameter to the OX Guard guest reader web application. This allows cross-site scripting attacks against arbitrary users since no prior authentication is needed. Malicious script code can be executed within a user's context. This can lead to session hijacking or triggering unwanted actions via the web interface (sending mail, deleting data etc.) in case the user has an active session on the same domain already.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.0","vector":"CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":6.1},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/138701/Open-Xchange-Guard-2.4.2-Cross-Site-Scripting.html","http://www.securityfocus.com/archive/1/539395/100/0/threaded","http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/92920","https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/40377/","http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/138701/Open-Xchange-Guard-2.4.2-Cross-Site-Scripting.html"],"products":["open-xchange:ox_guard"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:41:25.729257544+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2016-6851","score":0.02643,"percentile":0.8559,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
