When secure applications inside Qualcomm Secure Execution Environment (QSEE) receive memory addresses from a high level operating system (HLOS) such as Linux Android, those address have previously been verified as belonging to HLOS memory space rather than QSEE memory space, but they were not verified to be from HLOS user space rather than kernel space. This lack of verification could lead to privilege escalation within the HLOS.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.0","vector":"CVSS:3.0/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-200"],"references":["http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/97364","http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1038201","https://source.android.com/security/bulletin/2017-04-01","https://www.codeaurora.org/insufficient-memory-address-information-prevent-arbitrary-memory-access-qsee-secure-applications-cve","https://www.qualcomm.com/company/product-security/security-advisories"],"products":["google:android"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:42:09.859288039+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2016-5349","score":0.01005,"percentile":0.62989,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
