The devices ship with a default SSH login or a hardcoded DSA private key, allowing an attacker to authenticate remotely with limited privileges.\n\n\nOnce authenticated, an attacker can overwrite the world-writable /ca/bin/monitor.sh script with arbitrary commands. Since this script is executed with elevated privileges through the backend binary, enabling the debug monitor via backend -c \"debug monitor on\" triggers execution of the attacker's payload as root. This allows full system compromise.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:H/SI:H/SA:H","score":10.0},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-732","CWE-798"],"references":["https://packetstorm.news/files/id/125761","https://raw.githubusercontent.com/rapid7/metasploit-framework/master/modules/exploits/unix/ssh/array_vxag_vapv_privkey_privesc.rb","https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/32440","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/array-networks-vapv-vxag-default-credential-privilege-escalation"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:05:46.678065081+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2014-125121","score":0.01373,"percentile":0.71979,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
